Everyone's opinion

We keep meeting many people, but how many times have you interacted with people from the LGBTQ+ community? I HAVE. A few days back I interviewed two people a lesbian and a gay respectively; I asked them many questions and they were so open, free, and it felt like I was actually speaking to any normal person as I would on a day-to-day basis. Then, why are they treated unfairly? Write in the comments what you think? Also mention if you have met anyone from this community.

A Short Story

Let me tell you this story (This story is based on a real story; none of the names taken are real to hide the personality) One day a man named Khanda went to a party. After some chats and plays, he decided to get himself a drink. Soon that he went in, an old friend of his named Rana came to get a drink as well. Rana was a married man and had one child. Rana, meeting his friend for so long got intimate with Khanda. Soon Rana's daughter came running in to find her dad and seeing the scene in front of her she ran and called her mother. Her mother came in and asked her "What happened?", "What are they doing?" asked Rita (the daughter), the mother said, nothing much it's what people do in movies. Rita was surprised and gave an awkward smile and said "Ok? But man and man?" and went out.  ________________________________________________________________________________________________ What do you think made the girl so surprised?  Some challenges faced by this community are - Coming Out: These people face problems telling their friends and families about what they feel Internalized Homophobia:   They feel more comfortable being by themselves than talking with others and expressing their feelings. Familial Rejection: Some families reject their children if they are born with an unusuality or disorder. This hurts them mentally forever. Stereotypes: They do not feel comfortable when they are mentioned with "he" or "she", they mostly prefer being called by their name and sadly, they are criticized for calling them "it". Discrimination & Violence: They are often bullied in school because of their behavior and actions, sometimes they are even given S-class treatment in hospitals and other public places. Mental Health Issues: They often are let down mentally and so face mental health issues, and again they don't receive fair treatment. Love & Dating: It is hard to find people w...

Rejection

Discrimination in Sports In various occasions, people from the LGBTQ+ community are rejected from posts and are not allowed to participate in events like other people do. They are considered a disease to the society but, in reality, they are the stars of the human race. This is what makes Humans different from other species - the vast range of diversity, religion, occupation, hobbies and qualities. If everyone were to be the same, then how are we different from other animals like monkeys and tigers?  J ust because someone has a different idea of a relationship, it does not mean that they are incapable of doing things that we so-called "normal" people do. People from the LGBTQ+ community face these problems in sports as well. In many places you might have seen that someone, who is maybe best of players but is not allowed to take part in competitions. Why? Because they are gay or lesbian. This isn't a fair judgement to not allow them to participate in competitions. How can ...
